On the Eleventh Day of Princess Walt Disney gave to me
Eleven birds-a-flying
Ten Spices Boiling
Nine Ships are sailing
eight mice a-sewing
seven dwarves dancing
six sisters singing
five cursed friend
four braiding girls
three fairy spells
two lucky pals
and the wisdom of an old tree
I can't express enough how much I agonized over this one. The one thing I knew from the get go was that I wanted to use this picture and none other for the calendar. It was the one which inspired me to search for murals and use them as motive.
But the holiday was the thing which really threw me into a loop, mostly because of the various unfortunate implications attached to the American Thanksgiving. To be frank here, I would have preferred to pick some sort of Native American event, but research was difficult from the get go, plus, there are so many tribes who all have their own traditions, it would have been a difficult choice in any case. But something what most culture celebrate is some form of festival once the harvest is brought in. The date when it is celebrated differs, but I guess the concept of thanksgiving in itself is universal enough, even if I marked the US date. And I naturally created and Icon, too.
For the gold version of Pocahontas I was split too. On the one hand, it might have been better to have her dressed in something which is, well, more "her". On the other hand, there was a really great picture of Pocahontas in a golden dress available. One I actually like, so in the end I went with it.
I naturally did a name-only version, too. Btw, the golden swirl is meant to be the wind. I am not sure if it translates particularly well.
What was pretty easy was picking the right kind of goddess for Pocahontas. She naturally replaces Demeter/Ceres, the goddess of the harvest, fertility, agriculture, nature and the seasons.
Except that I kind of stuck with the "Nature" and "seasons" part for Pocahontas and created with Nakoma a separate Goddess for agriculture and harvest. I mean, she is the only one who is doing any proper harvesting after all.
And finally I did the usual banner. I wanted something which captured the beauty of the backgrounds in her movie. Speaking of which, I naturally did the usual wallpapers, too. As always you can find them in the image section of the club.
So, one princess left to go, but I doubt that there will be much mystery at this point. The last article should be up this weekend.

11 users has voted in the poll: 'Will you add some songs for the Eurovision Songcontest Disney Princesses Theme?' Almost the half of the users has said 'no' the others has voted 'maybe'. want to change the part of adding songs in the contest and want to. do it with polls. The best three songs from each movie joins the contest. This is just an idea, maybe I'm just impatient. If there is enthousiasm and users add songs. I won't change it. But it's likely that, that won't happen. So I'm preparing now to the other way of selecting songs for the contest. I hope you will vote in the contest! It's my first contest on Fanpop!
1) Aishwarya Rai (Miss World 1994)
She won the Miss Photogenic Award and the Miss World title back in 1994, she is a very pretty Bollywood actress in her own rights after winning the title and I have to say that she ages gracefully!
2) Priyanka Chopra (Miss World 2000)
She is another possible choice for an Indian princess, I would not be surprise if they choice her to voice her and base her looks on a princess too!
3) Sunidhi Chauhan (Elsa's Hindi Voice)
She was the voice of Elsa in the Hindi dub for Frozen, she also has a very pretty look and will definitely be good for an Indian princess.
Be Bollywood!
So these 3 choices are my personal favourites, do you have any suggestions?
1. Normal dress
The films original outfit is a pink dress consisting of a light pink top, darker skirt with flowers, light pink sleeves and a sort of corsette she wears. The dress is a mixture ofor Auroras forest outfit and snow whites formal dress. It has a beautiful princess look and basic as well. 8/10
2.Wedding dress
Marrying Flynn is something any girl would want to do, so you wearing a wedding dress is a definite. It's nothing special though a white dress, a tiara same as any average wedding. I know it's from tangled forever after so may not count but I thought I would add an extra dress just to fill more article space. 5/10
Next up is Medreia from Brave. I am not a fan of her to be honest. She is quite mean at times but she does have costumes to discuss so that will be next, In the mean time comment below and see you soon bye.
