Guys, Merida is getting so much hate over Fan-pop! So today, I am going to write an article about how Merida is like Jasmine in many ways. Why I chose Jasmine is that Merida is like Jasmine too, and I think you should listen to this.

First off, Merida and Jasmine DO NOT want to be princesses. Why? Because they both WANT to be free. They also had to be married by someone they DIDN'T love. And they didn't want that. As you can deduct, in this article I'll explain how I paired the Disney Princesses, analysing what they have in common, so what could make them a good couple of friends. I was inspired by the Most Similar Princess Pair Countdown, made by sweetie-94.

Ariel & Jasmine.
It was very hard to choose who could be Ariel's best friend among Belle, Jasmine and Rapunzel because these four princesses have a strong spirit of adventure. In the Disney version, Eric, Ariel, and Triton defeat Ursula, and Ariel turns back into a human and marry's Eric. In the next movie, they have a daughter named Melody. But in the orginal version, The Little Mermaid sees the Prince marry a Princess, and despises it, so she is offered a knife to stab the Prince to death, but instead, she jumps into the sea and dies by turning into froth. Since Hans thought this ending was a little to "disturbing," he said she became the "daughter of the air," waiting to go to heaven--- so in the end, she still dies.

I really love the ending of this movie, it's my favorite movie scene of all time. We talk about the Princes and the Princesses but we never talk about how the villains sang because well out of the 12 films only 7 sing and I only counted 6 because Frozen just came out and not everyone has seen the movie or own the soundtrack.

The tenth Mary Sue test. This one is for Mulan, who's called a Mary Sue sometimes (mostly by people who are bitter about her popularity, but they kind of have a point, especially with how she's always portrayed as superior to all the other princesses).

An odd name- No. Actually, I'm not sure, but I'll just assume 'Mulan' is a common Chinese name.
