I love the little mermaid the movie came out when i 5 and i'm 18 now! :D but as always my curiosity wonders and i wondered what was the REAL story because most disney movies arent orginal. most are based of old folk tails or children stories or true events just dumbed down and sweetened up for kids :D so here is the real story its cool!

Jodi Benson was born as Jodi Marzorati on 10th October 1961 in Rockford, Illinois. She grew up in Rockford and started using her voice at age 5. The world knows Jodi as the wonderful voice of Disney's "The Little Mermaid". In 1989 Jodi Benson breathed life into one of Disney's most headstrong teenagers. She won the role of Ariel over at least 500 other actresses and The Little Mermaid has been recognized as one of the best animated films ever created. The animation renaissance starts here. Along with Who Framed Roger Rabbit the previous year, this brought a breath of fresh air swept through the corridors of Disney, blew away the dust and cobwebs and allowed new talent to flourish. Ariel didn't know what to do so she decided to change the subject.

It's a new morning Ariel has awoken she's had a long night with very little sleep because she couldn't sleep. She went to Ursula to try to make conversation to win her trust.

"Aunt Ursula" said Ariel

"Yes my dear" said Ursula

"How about we talk" asked Ariel

"Certainly, what would you like to talk about?" asked Ursula

"Well what was it like when you and daddy were younger" asked Ariel

"Well we also has a sister" said Ursula

"You mean I have another aunt" said Ariel

"Yes you do" said Ursula

"Why haven't I ever heard of her" asked Ariel

"She was always jealous of me" said Ursula

Ariel swam to the castle as fast as she could. She found her family frightened and being locked in the jail ceil by two creatures that were half eels and half man. She swam to them.

"Mom, daddy, what happened" asked Ariel

"Ariel get out of here" said Triton

"Who did this to you" asked Ariel

"Get her" said an eel man

"Swim Ariel" said Athena

"Stop! Don''t harm one hair on her" said a mysterious voice

"Yes master" said eels

"Who's there" asked Ariel

"It's me your dear old aunty" said Ursula

"Aunt Ursula thank goodness it's you come on set them free" said Ariel

"I can't do that" said Ursula

Ariel is horrified by the fact that her aunt Ursula did what she did to her own sister.

"How could you do such a thing to your only sister" asked Ariel

"It was too teach her a lesson" said Ursula

"But that's so cruel" I said

"My dear sweet child your too young to understand how things are what seems cruel to you isn't the same for others" said Ursula

"But still it did seem kinda harsh" said Ariel

"Well alot of times my sisters mostly Attina drive me crazy but I'd never do something like that to them" said Ariel
