I remember visiting this website once...
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Awww Music Oh, Snap! Quiz Retro Silly Whoa Yum
first premiered in theatres in 1992, and ever since the film has held a special place in our hearts. Jasmine showed us what it meant to be strong and independent, Genie proved to be one of the most captivating characters of all time, and Aladdin illustrated that our pasts don’t define us. With an evil Vizier to add a splash of drama to a story about love, friendship, and doing the right thing,
memories echo yours? We asked Disney cast members, and you, what some of your favorite
moments were, and here are the ones that made the cut:
1. You fondly remember seeing the movie in theatres for the very first time.
Whether it was for a friend’s birthday party, or a day out with our family, you anxiously awaited the movie and recall feeling the excitement of seeing it on the big screen.
Please, don’t disturb his slumber. (At least don’t do it unless you’re the diamond in the rough.)
3. You knew Aladdin’s harem pants would make him an instant style icon.
Have you ever tried on harem pants? They are incredibly comfortable. We like to think of this as street-rat chic.
4. Speaking of, you appreciated the palace guard’s use of a fish as makeshift pants.
When you’re trying to stay one jump ahead of the bread line, you may have to resort to donning poisson-pants.
5. Aladdin showed you the meaning of bravery when he protected kids from Prince Achmed.
You can’t trust a man with a twisty mustache. Luckily, Aladdin was there to save the day.
Though you could understand why Princess Jasmine was tired of being confined to the palace walls, you appreciated their beauty.
Raja’s dutiful demeanor, fluffiness, protective instincts are key qualities in a feline friend.
8. You thought Princess Jasmine was pretty fierce (and still do).
Jasmine showed you that it’s cool to wish for true love, but wait for it on your own terms.
It showed what a good, gentle heart Jasmine had, while underlining the fact that she too felt locked in a cage.
10. Aladdin’s expression when he first saw Jasmine made you believe in love at first sight.
11. And Jasmine accidentally stealing the apple made you feel for her.
“Oh, there’s a big surprise! That’s an incredib… I think I’m gonna have a heart attack and die from not surprise! What are we gonna do? We got a big problem here, a big… Mmph!”
13. Jafar and Iago made you think evil could also be funny.
We’re imagining the *eeeeyuh* sound they make right now.
14. This moment made you gasp and fear Aladdin might be done for.
15. You’ll never forget the first time you met the Genie.
There are so many incredible Genie moments, it’s actually impossible to narrow down a favorite. However, it’s clear from the first moment he’s on screen that Genie’s something special. “Ten thousand years will give you such a crick in the neck.”
16. The “Prince Ali” number taught you what a “menagerie” was.
Items needed to impress Princess Jasmine: 75 golden camels, 53 peacocks, 95 white Persian monkeys. And lest you not forget, Aladdin now has the strength of 10 regular men (and has fought a hundred bad guys with swords!)
17. The magic of “A Whole New World” set your standard for first dates.
We especially loved the moment when Aladdin grabbed the flower and gave it to Jasmine. Flowers should be given spontaneously and with love.
18. You cheered when Jafar was defeated and the Sultan nixed the royal marriage rule.
True love conquers all: even a mean old royal aide and his chatting sarcastic parrot. You also appreciated the way Jasmine’s braid flowed majestically in the breeze.
Through it all, Genie was there by Aladdin’s side.
